En septiembre de 2019 se anunció la producción de una serie que seguía la estela de Merlí, pero con un profesor alternativo como protagonista

Hugo Ibarra Tomás es un profesional de la educación, mezcla de psicólogo, maestro y soldado, a quien pide ayuda Ester, la directora de un centro de educación secundaria en donde la convivencia escolar se ha vuelto insostenible. HIT, acrónimo del nombre del protagonista, es un personaje polémico, marcado por un traumático pasado, que selecciona a un grupo de alumnos y les ofrece unas clases nada convencionales. A través de un original método, se irán abordando temas como la soledad de los más jóvenes en la era de las redes sociales, el sexo y las adicciones, o la falta de apoyo al trabajo de los docentes.
