Lojacono es un solitario que rehuye al compromiso amoroso y tiene problemas para acercarse a su hija adolescente. Una de sus compañeras oculta su homosexualidad y otra tiene un hijo con autismo; un teniente tiene un matrimonio problemático, salpicado con episodios de violencia de género, mientras que el jefe de todos ellos es un viudo que no puede superar la muerte de su esposa.
