Estos felinos tienen un fuerte carácter territorial y unos instintos cazadores muy desarrollados que, en ocasiones, pueden chocar con los intereses de sus dueños, especialmente cuando tienen que lidiar con maullidos, bufidos, arañazos, mordeduras, micciones y excreciones descontroladas. Sin embargo, Jackson Galaxy, experto educador de gatos con 20 años de experiencia, sostiene que todo tiene solución si somos capaces de meternos en la cabeza de estos felinos y entender su lenguaje.
